The power and menace of the enemy sworn to destroy us.
This is the real reason the Bush administration went to war in Iraq and why we will probably fail and waste the 3000 dead American service personnel while forgetting the other 3000 that died in the 9/11 attacks. I have no particular love for GW, but I do understand at least part of his real reasons for the Iraq war, the goals if you will. He wants to stop the spread of fundamentalist Islam’s growing power and control in the middle east and eventually Europe. I agree with his goals, but don’t believe we have the slightest chance of achieving them for several reasons. I believe Europe will soon be under the domination of Islam - within ten to thirty years. I believe we will see Taliban type Islamic governments in Spain and France first, driven by the same force that once controlled Spain and the Ottoman empire, and has continued invading and subverting India since the 700s. My only hope for our survival is that their various factions succeed in destroying each other, a very significant possibility.
1) I firmly believe Islamic fundamentalists will triumph and place virtually the entire middle east and eventually Europe under Taliban type governments. With the liberal press and politicians providing substantial support for Islamic terrorists, it is only a matter of time until we abandon the only action now under way to stem this tide of terror and murder.
2) Unless we find a way to cut off the huge flow of oil money into Islam – money paid for petroleum products – unless we find alternatives to petroleum almost immediately, America will fall into economic disaster and political chaos. Increases in atmospheric carbon dioxide and global warming will pose even more serious problems for a rapidly degrading environment. Islamic fundamentalists by their very dedication to their religion have absolutely no concern about the environment. Death and destruction is their universal answer to all problems.
3) All one has to do is read the writings and pronouncements of Osama bin Laden to know what is coming. I believe him when he says in one of his statements. "America will soon collapse into oblivion. All we have to provide is a tiny bit of terror every year or two. It will fan their internal flames of hatred and disturb their already precarious internal power balance. They will soon destroy each other. Islam will then march triumphant over the rotting corpses of these satanic monsters. Their passion for things of the flesh and not of the spirit will surely destroy them." Read “of the spirit” as “of my version of Islamic law.” I pray this is not prophetic, but fear that it is.
I believe the present administration has some true visionaries who understand the growing menace we face from Islamic fundamentalists. I believe they are opposed by a strange cabal of raw idealists, power hungry despots, ignorant peace activists, hopeless Communist losers, and brazen traitors, all of whom are willing to see American power and influence destroyed in order to gain or regain influence and political power for themselves. Overtly, they seem to see no threat whatsoever from a growing menace that uses mass-murder of non-combatants as a tool of intimidation and fear to eviscerate all who do not accept the supremacy and absolute control of their religious law. How these brain-dead sub-humans can see the dangers as “criminal” problems requiring “police” responses and the terrorists as deserving of the full force of America’s criminal court system is obvious when you think about the agenda of the ACLU and the National Lawyers Guild. These two groups are dedicated to the degradation of America and the destruction of American capitalism. A look at the origin of the NLG says a lot about both organizations.

- Is a radical organization of lawyers, founded in 1936 by the Communist Party USA
- Is an active affiliate of the International Association of Democratic Lawyers, which served as a Soviet front group during the Cold War
- In the post-Communist era has continued to embrace its Communist heritage
- Has sought to legally represent individuals and groups that have attacked the U.S.
- Is at the forefront of efforts to weaken the nation's intelligence-gathering agencies
- Named as a key member of the Open Borders Lobby in the pamphlet “The Open Borders Lobby and the Nation's Security After 9/11,” written by William Hawkins and Erin Anderson

Islamic fundamentalists have announced and will continue to use the following method to destroy us. The violent 9-11 attack was followed by furious government activity in response. Huge expense and overpowering concerns followed. The lack of any terrorist attack in the US for some time is a calculated tactic of bin Laden and al Queda! Next, they will mount another violent and deadly attack, viz a viz 9-11, possibly on a seven or twelve year cycle. Then once more they will wait for the resulting furor to die down and morph into criticism and internal squabbles as we frantically prepare for another attack. They can merely sit back and wait while we quarrel with each other about how to deal with terrorism. This will lead to disunity between opposing factions in our government and distract us from preparedness. They have already offered us a truce which is an old arab ruse to give them time and opportunity to rearm, and to train and build up their militants once more. Then as we bicker and let down our guard another major attack, deadlier than the first will be mounted. Perhaps a deadly bomb at a huge sporting event or a dirty suitcase bomb in one or more of our cities. Once more we will struggle furiously to avert another attack while they merely sit and wait for the furor to die down. They are using western freedom and our adversarial based democratic political system to destroy us. We are not only letting them, but are willing partners in our own destruction. I predict that unless drastic steps are taken soon, Europe will fall to the sword of Allah within the next two decades and America will follow soon after. When that happens there will be no more peace marches or protests–indeed all who would do so will be in their graves along with all American liberals, conservatives, moderates, Christians, Jews, and non-Muslims. Islamic fundamentalists are not squeamish about beheading any and all who oppose them.
There is one place where I agree with many liberals, but for totally different reasons. Oil companies are not our friends. Their promotion of huge expenditures of government funds (read your tax dollars, not their own money) for research and development of the hydrogen fuel cell and the so-called “hydrogen economy” is a complete fraud. It has been foisted off on us as the ultimate answer to our energy needs and it will never become economically feasible for a large number of very valid reasons. It is a deliberate smoke screen designed to prevent us from developing alternative fuels and power systems so those same oil companies can continue to reap huge profits and send vast amounts of cash into the coffers of the most virulent enemies we have.
There are real good, valid, practical means of our becoming energy independent in less than ten years and though some are gaining attention, none have received more than a small fraction of the government money being sent down the hydrogen fuel cell rathole. I am in the process of rewriting a book on the subject titled “The SUPER Hydrogen Economy” which describes many promising systems and shows the hydrogen fuel cell for the dead end it really is. New York Times reporter, Mathew L. Wald, in an article in the May 2004 issue of Scientific American, writes, “Despite the technological and infrastructure obstacles, a hydrogen economy may be coming. If it is it will more likely resemble the perfume economy, a market where quantities are so small that unit prices do not matter. It will appear in items like cellular phones and laptop computers.”
If we move quickly and switch from petroleum fuels to full dependence on renewable fuels with proven reliability and requiring little change in our infrastructure the flow of American billions out of the country will cease. That change alone could reverse our teetering balance of trade from huge negative numbers to positive. The technology is ready now to make this changeover. It would not only be a monstrous boost to our economy, but would encourage vast new manufacturing investment and place us in the lead in supplying the world with environmentally friendly energy that could even halt global warming. I suppose the “hate America” crowd will do all in their power to find some ridiculous reason to prevent this from happening.
If as I suspect, we do not do this, I see China as possibly the only hope to prevent the entire world from entering a new dark age of hideous pain and torture for most people. This under ruthless and evil Taliban style governments following the most oppressive form of Islamic law. They will eventually be armed with European and American weapons and nuclear bombs which they will not hesitate to use. By the time Liberals in Europe and then America get unstuck from stupid and realize what is happening it will be far too late. The Chinese, having no lay-down-and-die philosophy will meet Islam head on in an all-out nuclear war if they can control their sizeable Muslim population in their eastern regions
Fundamentalist Islam is a real threat and is gaining the power to do to the entire world what it did in the past in India and to all who opposed them. The appeal of Islam to the disenfranchised poor males of the world is unmistakable. Their message is destroy–get even–hate–kill–murder–chop off the heads of any who won’t bow down. They are an angry, vengeful, male dominated mob of huge proportions, incited by religious fanatics who don’t give a damn if they destroy all of humanity to the last man as long as they can obliterate any who disagree with them. Envision Ghengis Kahn with millions of troops, modern weapons and nuclear bombs.
Eric Hoffer wrote two descriptions of the likes of these mad-men, but didn’t anticipate the depth or power of their hatred:
"All mass movements avail themselves of action as a means of unification. The conflicts a mass movement seeks and incites serve not only to down its enemies but also to strip its followers of their distinct individuality and render them more soluble in the collective medium."
"Passionate hatred can give meaning and purpose to an empty life. Thus people haunted by the purposelessness of their lives try to find a new content not only by dedicating themselves to a holy cause but also by nursing a fanatical grievance. A mass movement offers them unlimited opportunities for both."
From a pure numbers standpoint the Islamic world poses serious threats. Their nations and peoples exhibit the highest birthrate in the world that promises to more double their numbers every generation. Their total disregard for human lives of even their own people promises annihilation on a massive scale. What Cortez did to the Aztecs, Islam will do to humanity. Just imagine a Cortez, a Genghis Kahn, or a Hitler with nuclear bombs, modern military hardware and an unlimited supply of fanatical warriors and you’ll see what we’re facing. Actually I don’t see Osama bin Laden as near the threat as others in or near his command. These men are certainly as ruthless as was Genghis Kahn and may soon have nuclear weapons in their arsenal if not already. They will use them freely when it suits them.
In spite of these known facts, liberals want us to pull out of Iraq now and turn the middle east over to this man and his followers? That is stupidity, suicide, and absolute madness, all wrapped up in the same package! It is an accepted fact that Iraq is now in the throws of a civil war. As soon as our troops leave, Iraq will be an even bloodier battleground and whoever wins will do so under a leader of intense cruelty. He’ll make Saddam look like a Mother Theresa. The only possible course of defense when that happens is a massive nuclear threat with teeth and the Chinese and the liberal left in this country would never permit that.

Alain Danielou (1907-1994) son of French aristocracy, author of numerous books on philosophy, religion, history and arts of India, in his book, Histoire de l' Inde writes:
"From the time Muslims started arriving, around 632 AD, the history of India becomes a long, monotonous series of murders, massacres, spoliations, and destructions. It is, as usual, in the name of 'a holy war' of their faith, of their sole God, that the barbarians have destroyed civilizations, wiped out entire races." Mahmoud Ghazni, continues Danielou, "was an early example of Muslim ruthlessness, burning in 1018 of the temples of Mathura, razing Kanauj to the ground and destroying the famous temple of Somnath, sacred to all Hindus. His successors were as ruthless as Ghazni: 103 temples in the holy city of Benaras were razed to the ground, its marvelous temples destroyed, its magnificent palaces wrecked." Indeed, the Muslim policy vis a vis India, concludes Danielou, seems to have been a conscious systematic destruction of everything that was beautiful, holy, refined." Remember the statues of Buddha in Afghanistan?
Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Writes:
“The first Muslim invasion of India came from the north-west by the Arabs who were led by Mahommad Bin Qasim. It took place in 711 A.D. and resulted in the conquest of Sind. This first Muslim invasion did not result in a permanent occupation of the country because the Caliphate of Baghdad, by whose order and command the invasion had taken place, was obliged by the middle of 9th century A.D. to withdraw its direct control from this distant province of Sind. Soon after this withdrawal, there began a series of terrible invasions by Muhammad of Ghazni (the idol breaker) in 1001 A.D. Muhammad died in 1030 A.D., but within the short span of 30 years, he invaded India 17 times. He was followed by Mahommed Ghori, who began his career as an invader in 1173. He was killed in 1206. For thirty years Muhammad of Ghazni ravaged India and for thirty years Mahommad Ghori harried the same country in the same way.
Then followed the incursions of the Moghul hordes of Chenghiz Khan. They first came in 1221. They then stayed on the border of India but did not enter it. Twenty years later, they marched on Lahore and sacked it. Of their inroads, the most terrible was under Timur in 1398. Then comes on the scene a new invader in the person of Babar who invaded India in 1526. The invasions of India did not stop with that of Babar. There occurred two more invasions. In 1738 Nadir Shah’s invading host swept over the Punjab like a flooded river “furious as the ocean”. He was followed by Ahmad Shah Abdali who invaded India in 1761, smashed the forces of the Marathas at Panipat and crushed for ever the attempt of the Hindus to gain the ground which they had lost to their Muslim invaders.
These Muslim invasions were not undertaken merely out of lust for loot or conquest, but also to strike a blow at the idolatry and polytheism of Hindus and establishing Islam in India.
Muhammad of Ghazni also looked upon his numerous invasions of India as the waging of a holy war. Al’Utbi, the historian of Muhammad, describing his raids writes:
“He demolished idol temples and established Islam. He captured ……cities, destroyed the idolaters, and gratifying Muslims. He then returned home and promulgated accounts of the victories obtained for Islam……..and vowed that every year he would undertake a holy war against Hind.”

What Thomas Jefferson learned from the Muslim book of jihad - By Ted Sampley

Democrat Keith Ellison is now officially the first Muslim United States congressman. True to his pledge, he placed his hand on the Quran, the Muslim book of jihad and pledged his allegiance to the United States during his ceremonial swearing-in. Capitol Hill staff said Ellison's swearing-in photo opportunity drew more media than they had ever seen in the history of the U.S. House. Ellison represents the 5th Congressional District of Minnesota.
The Quran Ellison used was no ordinary book. It once belonged to Thomas Jefferson, third president of the United States and one of America's founding fathers. Ellison borrowed it from the Rare Book Section of the Library of Congress. It was one of the 6,500 Jefferson books archived in the library.
Ellison, who was born in Detroit and converted to Islam while in college, said he chose to use Jefferson's Quran because it showed that "a visionary like Jefferson" believed that wisdom could be gleaned from many sources.
There is no doubt Ellison was right about Jefferson believing wisdom could be "gleaned" from the Muslim Quran. At the time Jefferson owned the book, he needed to know everything possible about Muslims because he was about to advocate war against the Islamic "Barbary" states of Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia and Tripoli.
Ellison's use of Jefferson's Quran as a prop illuminates a subject once well-known in the history of the United States, but, which today, is mostly forgotten - the Muslim pirate slavers who over many centuries enslaved millions of Africans and tens of thousands of Christian Europeans and Americans in the Islamic "Barbary" states.
Over the course of 10 centuries, Muslim pirates cruised the African and Mediterranean coastline, pillaging villages and seizing slaves. The taking of slaves in pre-dawn raids on unsuspecting coastal villages had a high casualty rate. (IMPORTANT, see NOTE: at the end of this paragraph) It was typical of Muslim raiders to kill off as many of the "non-Muslim" older men and women as possible so the preferred "booty" of only young women and children could be collected. Young non-Muslim women were targeted because of their value as concubines in Islamic markets. Islamic law provides for the sexual interests of Muslim men by allowing them to take as many as four wives at one time and to have as many concubines as their fortunes allow.
NOTE: In February 1982 I was working in San Miguel, the Communications Center for the Navy in the Philippines. The comment about raids on coastal villages reminded me of a troubling experience I wrote about in a letter home on that date. This is from that letter:
“A rather chilling experience happened the night before last. I walked down to the beach just a quarter mile from here to eat my supper and watch the sun set. It was a beautiful sunny day in the eighties and the long sandy beach was deserted. Less than half a mile from where I sat on the beach was a small fishing village with twenty or so boats and a few shacks just beyond the fence that marked the edge of the military reservation. I had been there nearly an hour, finished my sandwich and was preparing to watch the sun set on the ocean when the unmistakable click of a shell being chambered in a rifle came from right behind me. I turned to see two Marines approaching from the base. They stopped and put their rifles at ease when they recognized I was an American. Somewhat unnerved, I asked what was going on. One asked if I had noticed any fast moving boats on the horizon. When I said one went by, turned around and headed back the other way he suggested I get off the beach immediately. That the boat was probably a Muslim pirate who may have spotted me on the beach and could be preparing to attack. Just a few months before, these pirates had attacked the nearby fishing village, killed several men and carried off everything of value, as well as two young women from the village. With their fast boats, actually long narrow boats with outriggers and pivot engines on the back, they could come from the horizon to the beach in less time than it would take me to run through the sand to safety. They would probably shoot me as soon as they hit the beach and then plunder my body, including knocking all the gold from my teeth and be away in their boats in about five minutes. It had happened before on this very beach. That’s why they patrol the beach every morning and evening. The South China Sea is famous for mostly Muslim pirates to this very day. I thanked the Marines for the warning and viewed the beautiful beach in a very different light.”
I didn’t mention it in the letter, but the marines told me the women they abducted from the village would probably be sold as slaves in Indonesia or another Islamic country. It seems things have not changed very much since then - Muslim slavers were still at their trade, at least in that part of the world. - End of note -
Boys, as young as 9 or 10 years old, were often mutilated to create eunuchs who would bring higher prices in the slave markets of the Middle East. Muslim slave traders created "eunuch stations" along major African slave routes so the necessary surgery could be performed. It was estimated that only a small number of the boys subjected to the mutilation survived after the surgery.
When American colonists rebelled against British rule in 1776, American merchant ships lost Royal Navy protection. With no American Navy for protection, American ships were attacked and their Christian crews enslaved by Muslim pirates operating under the control of the "Dey of Algiers"--an Islamist warlord ruling Algeria.
Because American commerce in the Mediterranean was being destroyed by the pirates, the Continental Congress agreed in 1784 to negotiate treaties with the four Barbary States. Congress appointed a special commission consisting of John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, and Benjamin Franklin, to oversee the negotiations.
Lacking the ability to protect its merchant ships in the Mediterranean, the new America government tried to appease the Muslim slavers by agreeing to pay tribute and ransoms in order to retrieve seized American ships and buy the freedom of enslaved sailors.
Adams argued in favor of paying tribute as the cheapest way to get American commerce in the Mediterranean moving again. Jefferson was opposed. He believed there would be no end to the demands for tribute and wanted matters settled "through the medium of war." He proposed a league of trading nations to force an end to Muslim piracy.
In 1786, Jefferson, then the American ambassador to France, and Adams, then the American ambassador to Britain, met in London with Sidi Haji abdul Rahman Adja, the "Dey of Algiers" ambassador to Britain.
The Americans wanted to negotiate a peace treaty based on Congress' vote to appease. During the meeting Jefferson and Adams asked the Dey's ambassador why Muslims held so much hostility towards America, a nation with which they had no previous contacts.
In a later meeting with the American Congress, the two future presidents reported that Ambassador Sidi Haji Abdul Rahman Adja had answered that Islam "was founded on the Laws of their Prophet, that it was written in their Quran, that all nations who should not have acknowledged their authority were sinners, that it was their right and duty to make war upon them wherever they could be found, and to make slaves of all they could take as Prisoners, and that every Musselman (Muslim) who should be slain in Battle was sure to go to Paradise."
For the following 15 years, the American government paid the Muslims millions of dollars for the safe passage of American ships or the return of American hostages. The payments in ransom and tribute amounted to 20 percent of United States government annual revenues in 1800.
Not long after Jefferson's inauguration as president in 1801, he dispatched a group of frigates to defend American interests in the Mediterranean, and informed Congress.
Declaring that America was going to spend "millions for defense but not one cent for tribute," Jefferson pressed the issue by deploying American Marines and many of America's best warships to the Muslim Barbary Coast.
The USS Constitution, USS Constellation, USS Philadelphia, USS Chesapeake, USS Argus, USS Syren and USS Intrepid all saw action. In 1805, American Marines marched across the dessert from Egypt into Tripolitania, forcing the surrender of Tripoli and the freeing of all American slaves.
During the Jefferson administration, the Muslim Barbary States, crumbling as a result of intense American naval bombardment and on shore raids by Marines, finally officially agreed to abandon slavery and piracy.
Jefferson's victory over the Muslims lives on today in the Marine Hymn, with the line, "From the halls of Montezuma to the shores of Tripoli, we will fight our country's battles on the land as on the sea."
It wasn't until 1815 that the problem was fully settled by the total defeat of all the Muslim slave trading pirates.
Jefferson had been right. The "medium of war" was the only way to put and end to the Muslim problem. Mr. Ellison was right about Jefferson. He was a "visionary" wise enough to read and learn about the enemy from their own Muslim book of jihad.

We would do well to heed Jefferson’s wisdom, but I doubt we now have the stomach for it. We’ll probably just die!
Eric Hoffer closed his mid-sixties book, “The Temper of Our Time” with a discourse on the American intellectual. His words seem almost prophetic in the atmosphere of today’s world. Here are those closing words:
“The American intellectual rejects the idea that our ability to do things with little tutelage and leadership is a mark of social vigor. He would gauge the vigor of a society by its ability to produce great leaders. Yet it is precisely an America that in normal times can function well without outstanding leaders that so readily throws up outstanding individuals. When you talk to an American intellectual about common Americans it is as if you were talking about a mysterious people living on a mysterious continent. [People from fly-over country perhaps?]
“Yet when all is said about the intellectual’s preposterous stance there remains the incontestable fact that his chronic militancy and carping have been a vital factor in the Occident’s social progress. The blast of the intellectual’s trumpets has not brought down or damaged our political and economic institutions. Napoleon predicted that ink would do to the modern social organization what cannon had done to the feudal system. Actually, in the Occident, ink has acted more as a detergent than an explosive. It is doubtful whether without the activities of the pen-and-ink tribe the lot of the common people would be what it is now.
“The events of the past fifty years have sharpened our awareness of the discrepancy between what the intellectual profess while he battles the status quo, and what he practices when he comes to power, and we are wont to search for the features of a commissar in the face of impassioned protest. Actually the metamorphosis of militant intellectual into commissar requires a specific cultural climate and, so far, has taken place mainly outside the Occident. It is easy to underestimate the part played by Russia’s and China’s past in the evolvement of their present Marxist systems. A century ago Alexander Herzen predicted that Russian Communism would be Russian autocracy turned upside down. In China, where Mandarin intellectuals had the management of affairs in their keeping for centuries, the present dictatorship of an intellectocracy is more a culmination of, than a rupture with the past.
“In Western Europe and the USA, where tradition of individual freedom has deep roots in both the educated and the uneducated, the intellectuals cannot be self-righteous enough nor the masses submissive enough to duplicate the Russian or Chinese experience. Thus in the Occident the militant intellectual is a stable type and a typical irritant; and whenever the influence of the Occident becomes strong enough the chronically disaffected intellectual appears on the scene and pits himself against the prevailing dispensation, even when it is a dispensation powered by his fellow intellectuals. We see this illustrated in the present intellectual unrest in Eastern Europe and Russia, and it is beginning to seem that dominant Communist parties have more to fear from a Western infection than the Occident has to fear from Communist subversion.” [Is not the current hate America campaign from the left evidence of this as an accurate, factual prediction?]
“Stalin’s assertion that “no ruling class has managed without its own intelligentsia” applies of course to a totalitarian regime. A society that can afford freedom can also manage without a kept intelligentsia: it is vigorous enough to endure ceaseless harassment by the most articulate and perhaps most gifted segment of the population. Such harassment is the “eternal vigilance” which we are told is the price of liberty. In a free society internal tensions are not the signs of brewing anarchy but the systems of vigor–the elements of a self-generating dynamism. Though there is no unequivocal evidence that the intellectual is at his creative best in a wholly free society, it is indubitable that his incorporation in, or close association with a ruling elite sooner or later results in social and cultural stagnation. The chronic frustration of the intellectual’s hunger for power and lordship not only prompts him to side with the insulted and injured, but may drive him to compensate for what he misses by realizing and developing his capacities and talents.”

A classic example of liberal incompetence and distortion of the facts is demonstrated by an up-to-the-moment comment regarding the media frenzy some time ago over Dick Cheney’s accidental shooting of a friend. In this instance, liberal politicians and media personalities asked questions that had already been discharged by the facts. Their questions were formulated strictly to impugn their hated enemy, not gain meaningful information. Almost every conceivable evil by Dick Cheney was proposed in these questions by one or more members of the media since the incident occurred. There is no need to recount them here. Several reporters actually suggested almost gleefully that his shooting victim might die. I can not imagine the mind that could make a more evil, ghoulish comment.
I have but one question to pose to these media ghouls. Why were there virtually no evil suggestions made as questions of Teddy Kennedy after the accident that took the life of Mary Jo Kopeckni at Chappaquiddick? Or after the supposed suicide of Vince Foster. The answer is quite obvious. Liberal elitists hold themselves and their fellow leftists to a vastly different and drastically lower standard of behavior than any opposing individuals. Real facts seem to be the enemy of the left in virtually every situation. Completely void of constructive programs or ideas and mouthing mantras of false information and imponderable suggestive questions, they are reduced to shouting virtual obscenities and gross distortions of facts. Only the most fanatical blind followers, vast conspiracy believers, political hangers on and self-disenfranchised dissidents could possibly support these outrageous statements, let alone actually believe them.
That they are actively aligning themselves with fundamentalist Muslim extremists to gain political traction is a fact that will eventually make them even more sorry caricatures of a human beings. The sad thing is that so many hate filled cultural, economic, racial and social minorities actually join and blindly support them because it is easier for them to destroy and bring others down to their pathetic level than to build and raise themselves up to any state of higher self esteem. It is no wonder that the left’s raw hatred appeals to all the unsuccessful poor, the dregs of humanity, criminals, mentally deficient–those with nothing to lose who have abandoned society and civility.

This is the real reason the Bush administration went to war in Iraq and why we will probably fail and waste the 3000 dead American service personnel while forgetting the other 3000 that died in the 9/11 attacks. I have no particular love for GW, but I do understand at least part of his real reasons for the Iraq war, the goals if you will. He wants to stop the spread of fundamentalist Islam’s growing power and control in the middle east and eventually Europe. I agree with his goals, but don’t believe we have the slightest chance of achieving them for several reasons. I believe Europe will soon be under the domination of Islam - within ten to thirty years. I believe we will see Taliban type Islamic governments in Spain and France first, driven by the same force that once controlled Spain and the Ottoman empire, and has continued invading and subverting India since the 700s. My only hope for our survival is that their various factions succeed in destroying each other, a very significant possibility.
1) I firmly believe Islamic fundamentalists will triumph and place virtually the entire middle east and eventually Europe under Taliban type governments. With the liberal press and politicians providing substantial support for Islamic terrorists, it is only a matter of time until we abandon the only action now under way to stem this tide of terror and murder.
2) Unless we find a way to cut off the huge flow of oil money into Islam – money paid for petroleum products – unless we find alternatives to petroleum almost immediately, America will fall into economic disaster and political chaos. Increases in atmospheric carbon dioxide and global warming will pose even more serious problems for a rapidly degrading environment. Islamic fundamentalists by their very dedication to their religion have absolutely no concern about the environment. Death and destruction is their universal answer to all problems.
3) All one has to do is read the writings and pronouncements of Osama bin Laden to know what is coming. I believe him when he says in one of his statements. "America will soon collapse into oblivion. All we have to provide is a tiny bit of terror every year or two. It will fan their internal flames of hatred and disturb their already precarious internal power balance. They will soon destroy each other. Islam will then march triumphant over the rotting corpses of these satanic monsters. Their passion for things of the flesh and not of the spirit will surely destroy them." Read “of the spirit” as “of my version of Islamic law.” I pray this is not prophetic, but fear that it is.
I believe the present administration has some true visionaries who understand the growing menace we face from Islamic fundamentalists. I believe they are opposed by a strange cabal of raw idealists, power hungry despots, ignorant peace activists, hopeless Communist losers, and brazen traitors, all of whom are willing to see American power and influence destroyed in order to gain or regain influence and political power for themselves. Overtly, they seem to see no threat whatsoever from a growing menace that uses mass-murder of non-combatants as a tool of intimidation and fear to eviscerate all who do not accept the supremacy and absolute control of their religious law. How these brain-dead sub-humans can see the dangers as “criminal” problems requiring “police” responses and the terrorists as deserving of the full force of America’s criminal court system is obvious when you think about the agenda of the ACLU and the National Lawyers Guild. These two groups are dedicated to the degradation of America and the destruction of American capitalism. A look at the origin of the NLG says a lot about both organizations.

- Is a radical organization of lawyers, founded in 1936 by the Communist Party USA
- Is an active affiliate of the International Association of Democratic Lawyers, which served as a Soviet front group during the Cold War
- In the post-Communist era has continued to embrace its Communist heritage
- Has sought to legally represent individuals and groups that have attacked the U.S.
- Is at the forefront of efforts to weaken the nation's intelligence-gathering agencies
- Named as a key member of the Open Borders Lobby in the pamphlet “The Open Borders Lobby and the Nation's Security After 9/11,” written by William Hawkins and Erin Anderson

Islamic fundamentalists have announced and will continue to use the following method to destroy us. The violent 9-11 attack was followed by furious government activity in response. Huge expense and overpowering concerns followed. The lack of any terrorist attack in the US for some time is a calculated tactic of bin Laden and al Queda! Next, they will mount another violent and deadly attack, viz a viz 9-11, possibly on a seven or twelve year cycle. Then once more they will wait for the resulting furor to die down and morph into criticism and internal squabbles as we frantically prepare for another attack. They can merely sit back and wait while we quarrel with each other about how to deal with terrorism. This will lead to disunity between opposing factions in our government and distract us from preparedness. They have already offered us a truce which is an old arab ruse to give them time and opportunity to rearm, and to train and build up their militants once more. Then as we bicker and let down our guard another major attack, deadlier than the first will be mounted. Perhaps a deadly bomb at a huge sporting event or a dirty suitcase bomb in one or more of our cities. Once more we will struggle furiously to avert another attack while they merely sit and wait for the furor to die down. They are using western freedom and our adversarial based democratic political system to destroy us. We are not only letting them, but are willing partners in our own destruction. I predict that unless drastic steps are taken soon, Europe will fall to the sword of Allah within the next two decades and America will follow soon after. When that happens there will be no more peace marches or protests–indeed all who would do so will be in their graves along with all American liberals, conservatives, moderates, Christians, Jews, and non-Muslims. Islamic fundamentalists are not squeamish about beheading any and all who oppose them.
There is one place where I agree with many liberals, but for totally different reasons. Oil companies are not our friends. Their promotion of huge expenditures of government funds (read your tax dollars, not their own money) for research and development of the hydrogen fuel cell and the so-called “hydrogen economy” is a complete fraud. It has been foisted off on us as the ultimate answer to our energy needs and it will never become economically feasible for a large number of very valid reasons. It is a deliberate smoke screen designed to prevent us from developing alternative fuels and power systems so those same oil companies can continue to reap huge profits and send vast amounts of cash into the coffers of the most virulent enemies we have.
There are real good, valid, practical means of our becoming energy independent in less than ten years and though some are gaining attention, none have received more than a small fraction of the government money being sent down the hydrogen fuel cell rathole. I am in the process of rewriting a book on the subject titled “The SUPER Hydrogen Economy” which describes many promising systems and shows the hydrogen fuel cell for the dead end it really is. New York Times reporter, Mathew L. Wald, in an article in the May 2004 issue of Scientific American, writes, “Despite the technological and infrastructure obstacles, a hydrogen economy may be coming. If it is it will more likely resemble the perfume economy, a market where quantities are so small that unit prices do not matter. It will appear in items like cellular phones and laptop computers.”
If we move quickly and switch from petroleum fuels to full dependence on renewable fuels with proven reliability and requiring little change in our infrastructure the flow of American billions out of the country will cease. That change alone could reverse our teetering balance of trade from huge negative numbers to positive. The technology is ready now to make this changeover. It would not only be a monstrous boost to our economy, but would encourage vast new manufacturing investment and place us in the lead in supplying the world with environmentally friendly energy that could even halt global warming. I suppose the “hate America” crowd will do all in their power to find some ridiculous reason to prevent this from happening.
If as I suspect, we do not do this, I see China as possibly the only hope to prevent the entire world from entering a new dark age of hideous pain and torture for most people. This under ruthless and evil Taliban style governments following the most oppressive form of Islamic law. They will eventually be armed with European and American weapons and nuclear bombs which they will not hesitate to use. By the time Liberals in Europe and then America get unstuck from stupid and realize what is happening it will be far too late. The Chinese, having no lay-down-and-die philosophy will meet Islam head on in an all-out nuclear war if they can control their sizeable Muslim population in their eastern regions
Fundamentalist Islam is a real threat and is gaining the power to do to the entire world what it did in the past in India and to all who opposed them. The appeal of Islam to the disenfranchised poor males of the world is unmistakable. Their message is destroy–get even–hate–kill–murder–chop off the heads of any who won’t bow down. They are an angry, vengeful, male dominated mob of huge proportions, incited by religious fanatics who don’t give a damn if they destroy all of humanity to the last man as long as they can obliterate any who disagree with them. Envision Ghengis Kahn with millions of troops, modern weapons and nuclear bombs.
Eric Hoffer wrote two descriptions of the likes of these mad-men, but didn’t anticipate the depth or power of their hatred:
"All mass movements avail themselves of action as a means of unification. The conflicts a mass movement seeks and incites serve not only to down its enemies but also to strip its followers of their distinct individuality and render them more soluble in the collective medium."
"Passionate hatred can give meaning and purpose to an empty life. Thus people haunted by the purposelessness of their lives try to find a new content not only by dedicating themselves to a holy cause but also by nursing a fanatical grievance. A mass movement offers them unlimited opportunities for both."
From a pure numbers standpoint the Islamic world poses serious threats. Their nations and peoples exhibit the highest birthrate in the world that promises to more double their numbers every generation. Their total disregard for human lives of even their own people promises annihilation on a massive scale. What Cortez did to the Aztecs, Islam will do to humanity. Just imagine a Cortez, a Genghis Kahn, or a Hitler with nuclear bombs, modern military hardware and an unlimited supply of fanatical warriors and you’ll see what we’re facing. Actually I don’t see Osama bin Laden as near the threat as others in or near his command. These men are certainly as ruthless as was Genghis Kahn and may soon have nuclear weapons in their arsenal if not already. They will use them freely when it suits them.
In spite of these known facts, liberals want us to pull out of Iraq now and turn the middle east over to this man and his followers? That is stupidity, suicide, and absolute madness, all wrapped up in the same package! It is an accepted fact that Iraq is now in the throws of a civil war. As soon as our troops leave, Iraq will be an even bloodier battleground and whoever wins will do so under a leader of intense cruelty. He’ll make Saddam look like a Mother Theresa. The only possible course of defense when that happens is a massive nuclear threat with teeth and the Chinese and the liberal left in this country would never permit that.

Alain Danielou (1907-1994) son of French aristocracy, author of numerous books on philosophy, religion, history and arts of India, in his book, Histoire de l' Inde writes:
"From the time Muslims started arriving, around 632 AD, the history of India becomes a long, monotonous series of murders, massacres, spoliations, and destructions. It is, as usual, in the name of 'a holy war' of their faith, of their sole God, that the barbarians have destroyed civilizations, wiped out entire races." Mahmoud Ghazni, continues Danielou, "was an early example of Muslim ruthlessness, burning in 1018 of the temples of Mathura, razing Kanauj to the ground and destroying the famous temple of Somnath, sacred to all Hindus. His successors were as ruthless as Ghazni: 103 temples in the holy city of Benaras were razed to the ground, its marvelous temples destroyed, its magnificent palaces wrecked." Indeed, the Muslim policy vis a vis India, concludes Danielou, seems to have been a conscious systematic destruction of everything that was beautiful, holy, refined." Remember the statues of Buddha in Afghanistan?
Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Writes:
“The first Muslim invasion of India came from the north-west by the Arabs who were led by Mahommad Bin Qasim. It took place in 711 A.D. and resulted in the conquest of Sind. This first Muslim invasion did not result in a permanent occupation of the country because the Caliphate of Baghdad, by whose order and command the invasion had taken place, was obliged by the middle of 9th century A.D. to withdraw its direct control from this distant province of Sind. Soon after this withdrawal, there began a series of terrible invasions by Muhammad of Ghazni (the idol breaker) in 1001 A.D. Muhammad died in 1030 A.D., but within the short span of 30 years, he invaded India 17 times. He was followed by Mahommed Ghori, who began his career as an invader in 1173. He was killed in 1206. For thirty years Muhammad of Ghazni ravaged India and for thirty years Mahommad Ghori harried the same country in the same way.
Then followed the incursions of the Moghul hordes of Chenghiz Khan. They first came in 1221. They then stayed on the border of India but did not enter it. Twenty years later, they marched on Lahore and sacked it. Of their inroads, the most terrible was under Timur in 1398. Then comes on the scene a new invader in the person of Babar who invaded India in 1526. The invasions of India did not stop with that of Babar. There occurred two more invasions. In 1738 Nadir Shah’s invading host swept over the Punjab like a flooded river “furious as the ocean”. He was followed by Ahmad Shah Abdali who invaded India in 1761, smashed the forces of the Marathas at Panipat and crushed for ever the attempt of the Hindus to gain the ground which they had lost to their Muslim invaders.
These Muslim invasions were not undertaken merely out of lust for loot or conquest, but also to strike a blow at the idolatry and polytheism of Hindus and establishing Islam in India.
Muhammad of Ghazni also looked upon his numerous invasions of India as the waging of a holy war. Al’Utbi, the historian of Muhammad, describing his raids writes:
“He demolished idol temples and established Islam. He captured ……cities, destroyed the idolaters, and gratifying Muslims. He then returned home and promulgated accounts of the victories obtained for Islam……..and vowed that every year he would undertake a holy war against Hind.”

What Thomas Jefferson learned from the Muslim book of jihad - By Ted Sampley
U.S. Veteran Dispatch - January 2007
Democrat Keith Ellison is now officially the first Muslim United States congressman. True to his pledge, he placed his hand on the Quran, the Muslim book of jihad and pledged his allegiance to the United States during his ceremonial swearing-in. Capitol Hill staff said Ellison's swearing-in photo opportunity drew more media than they had ever seen in the history of the U.S. House. Ellison represents the 5th Congressional District of Minnesota.
The Quran Ellison used was no ordinary book. It once belonged to Thomas Jefferson, third president of the United States and one of America's founding fathers. Ellison borrowed it from the Rare Book Section of the Library of Congress. It was one of the 6,500 Jefferson books archived in the library.
Ellison, who was born in Detroit and converted to Islam while in college, said he chose to use Jefferson's Quran because it showed that "a visionary like Jefferson" believed that wisdom could be gleaned from many sources.
There is no doubt Ellison was right about Jefferson believing wisdom could be "gleaned" from the Muslim Quran. At the time Jefferson owned the book, he needed to know everything possible about Muslims because he was about to advocate war against the Islamic "Barbary" states of Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia and Tripoli.
Ellison's use of Jefferson's Quran as a prop illuminates a subject once well-known in the history of the United States, but, which today, is mostly forgotten - the Muslim pirate slavers who over many centuries enslaved millions of Africans and tens of thousands of Christian Europeans and Americans in the Islamic "Barbary" states.
Over the course of 10 centuries, Muslim pirates cruised the African and Mediterranean coastline, pillaging villages and seizing slaves. The taking of slaves in pre-dawn raids on unsuspecting coastal villages had a high casualty rate. (IMPORTANT, see NOTE: at the end of this paragraph) It was typical of Muslim raiders to kill off as many of the "non-Muslim" older men and women as possible so the preferred "booty" of only young women and children could be collected. Young non-Muslim women were targeted because of their value as concubines in Islamic markets. Islamic law provides for the sexual interests of Muslim men by allowing them to take as many as four wives at one time and to have as many concubines as their fortunes allow.
NOTE: In February 1982 I was working in San Miguel, the Communications Center for the Navy in the Philippines. The comment about raids on coastal villages reminded me of a troubling experience I wrote about in a letter home on that date. This is from that letter:
“A rather chilling experience happened the night before last. I walked down to the beach just a quarter mile from here to eat my supper and watch the sun set. It was a beautiful sunny day in the eighties and the long sandy beach was deserted. Less than half a mile from where I sat on the beach was a small fishing village with twenty or so boats and a few shacks just beyond the fence that marked the edge of the military reservation. I had been there nearly an hour, finished my sandwich and was preparing to watch the sun set on the ocean when the unmistakable click of a shell being chambered in a rifle came from right behind me. I turned to see two Marines approaching from the base. They stopped and put their rifles at ease when they recognized I was an American. Somewhat unnerved, I asked what was going on. One asked if I had noticed any fast moving boats on the horizon. When I said one went by, turned around and headed back the other way he suggested I get off the beach immediately. That the boat was probably a Muslim pirate who may have spotted me on the beach and could be preparing to attack. Just a few months before, these pirates had attacked the nearby fishing village, killed several men and carried off everything of value, as well as two young women from the village. With their fast boats, actually long narrow boats with outriggers and pivot engines on the back, they could come from the horizon to the beach in less time than it would take me to run through the sand to safety. They would probably shoot me as soon as they hit the beach and then plunder my body, including knocking all the gold from my teeth and be away in their boats in about five minutes. It had happened before on this very beach. That’s why they patrol the beach every morning and evening. The South China Sea is famous for mostly Muslim pirates to this very day. I thanked the Marines for the warning and viewed the beautiful beach in a very different light.”
I didn’t mention it in the letter, but the marines told me the women they abducted from the village would probably be sold as slaves in Indonesia or another Islamic country. It seems things have not changed very much since then - Muslim slavers were still at their trade, at least in that part of the world. - End of note -
Boys, as young as 9 or 10 years old, were often mutilated to create eunuchs who would bring higher prices in the slave markets of the Middle East. Muslim slave traders created "eunuch stations" along major African slave routes so the necessary surgery could be performed. It was estimated that only a small number of the boys subjected to the mutilation survived after the surgery.
When American colonists rebelled against British rule in 1776, American merchant ships lost Royal Navy protection. With no American Navy for protection, American ships were attacked and their Christian crews enslaved by Muslim pirates operating under the control of the "Dey of Algiers"--an Islamist warlord ruling Algeria.
Because American commerce in the Mediterranean was being destroyed by the pirates, the Continental Congress agreed in 1784 to negotiate treaties with the four Barbary States. Congress appointed a special commission consisting of John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, and Benjamin Franklin, to oversee the negotiations.
Lacking the ability to protect its merchant ships in the Mediterranean, the new America government tried to appease the Muslim slavers by agreeing to pay tribute and ransoms in order to retrieve seized American ships and buy the freedom of enslaved sailors.
Adams argued in favor of paying tribute as the cheapest way to get American commerce in the Mediterranean moving again. Jefferson was opposed. He believed there would be no end to the demands for tribute and wanted matters settled "through the medium of war." He proposed a league of trading nations to force an end to Muslim piracy.
In 1786, Jefferson, then the American ambassador to France, and Adams, then the American ambassador to Britain, met in London with Sidi Haji abdul Rahman Adja, the "Dey of Algiers" ambassador to Britain.
The Americans wanted to negotiate a peace treaty based on Congress' vote to appease. During the meeting Jefferson and Adams asked the Dey's ambassador why Muslims held so much hostility towards America, a nation with which they had no previous contacts.
In a later meeting with the American Congress, the two future presidents reported that Ambassador Sidi Haji Abdul Rahman Adja had answered that Islam "was founded on the Laws of their Prophet, that it was written in their Quran, that all nations who should not have acknowledged their authority were sinners, that it was their right and duty to make war upon them wherever they could be found, and to make slaves of all they could take as Prisoners, and that every Musselman (Muslim) who should be slain in Battle was sure to go to Paradise."
For the following 15 years, the American government paid the Muslims millions of dollars for the safe passage of American ships or the return of American hostages. The payments in ransom and tribute amounted to 20 percent of United States government annual revenues in 1800.
Not long after Jefferson's inauguration as president in 1801, he dispatched a group of frigates to defend American interests in the Mediterranean, and informed Congress.
Declaring that America was going to spend "millions for defense but not one cent for tribute," Jefferson pressed the issue by deploying American Marines and many of America's best warships to the Muslim Barbary Coast.
The USS Constitution, USS Constellation, USS Philadelphia, USS Chesapeake, USS Argus, USS Syren and USS Intrepid all saw action. In 1805, American Marines marched across the dessert from Egypt into Tripolitania, forcing the surrender of Tripoli and the freeing of all American slaves.
During the Jefferson administration, the Muslim Barbary States, crumbling as a result of intense American naval bombardment and on shore raids by Marines, finally officially agreed to abandon slavery and piracy.
Jefferson's victory over the Muslims lives on today in the Marine Hymn, with the line, "From the halls of Montezuma to the shores of Tripoli, we will fight our country's battles on the land as on the sea."
It wasn't until 1815 that the problem was fully settled by the total defeat of all the Muslim slave trading pirates.
Jefferson had been right. The "medium of war" was the only way to put and end to the Muslim problem. Mr. Ellison was right about Jefferson. He was a "visionary" wise enough to read and learn about the enemy from their own Muslim book of jihad.

We would do well to heed Jefferson’s wisdom, but I doubt we now have the stomach for it. We’ll probably just die!
Eric Hoffer closed his mid-sixties book, “The Temper of Our Time” with a discourse on the American intellectual. His words seem almost prophetic in the atmosphere of today’s world. Here are those closing words:
“The American intellectual rejects the idea that our ability to do things with little tutelage and leadership is a mark of social vigor. He would gauge the vigor of a society by its ability to produce great leaders. Yet it is precisely an America that in normal times can function well without outstanding leaders that so readily throws up outstanding individuals. When you talk to an American intellectual about common Americans it is as if you were talking about a mysterious people living on a mysterious continent. [People from fly-over country perhaps?]
“Yet when all is said about the intellectual’s preposterous stance there remains the incontestable fact that his chronic militancy and carping have been a vital factor in the Occident’s social progress. The blast of the intellectual’s trumpets has not brought down or damaged our political and economic institutions. Napoleon predicted that ink would do to the modern social organization what cannon had done to the feudal system. Actually, in the Occident, ink has acted more as a detergent than an explosive. It is doubtful whether without the activities of the pen-and-ink tribe the lot of the common people would be what it is now.
“The events of the past fifty years have sharpened our awareness of the discrepancy between what the intellectual profess while he battles the status quo, and what he practices when he comes to power, and we are wont to search for the features of a commissar in the face of impassioned protest. Actually the metamorphosis of militant intellectual into commissar requires a specific cultural climate and, so far, has taken place mainly outside the Occident. It is easy to underestimate the part played by Russia’s and China’s past in the evolvement of their present Marxist systems. A century ago Alexander Herzen predicted that Russian Communism would be Russian autocracy turned upside down. In China, where Mandarin intellectuals had the management of affairs in their keeping for centuries, the present dictatorship of an intellectocracy is more a culmination of, than a rupture with the past.
“In Western Europe and the USA, where tradition of individual freedom has deep roots in both the educated and the uneducated, the intellectuals cannot be self-righteous enough nor the masses submissive enough to duplicate the Russian or Chinese experience. Thus in the Occident the militant intellectual is a stable type and a typical irritant; and whenever the influence of the Occident becomes strong enough the chronically disaffected intellectual appears on the scene and pits himself against the prevailing dispensation, even when it is a dispensation powered by his fellow intellectuals. We see this illustrated in the present intellectual unrest in Eastern Europe and Russia, and it is beginning to seem that dominant Communist parties have more to fear from a Western infection than the Occident has to fear from Communist subversion.” [Is not the current hate America campaign from the left evidence of this as an accurate, factual prediction?]
“Stalin’s assertion that “no ruling class has managed without its own intelligentsia” applies of course to a totalitarian regime. A society that can afford freedom can also manage without a kept intelligentsia: it is vigorous enough to endure ceaseless harassment by the most articulate and perhaps most gifted segment of the population. Such harassment is the “eternal vigilance” which we are told is the price of liberty. In a free society internal tensions are not the signs of brewing anarchy but the systems of vigor–the elements of a self-generating dynamism. Though there is no unequivocal evidence that the intellectual is at his creative best in a wholly free society, it is indubitable that his incorporation in, or close association with a ruling elite sooner or later results in social and cultural stagnation. The chronic frustration of the intellectual’s hunger for power and lordship not only prompts him to side with the insulted and injured, but may drive him to compensate for what he misses by realizing and developing his capacities and talents.”

A classic example of liberal incompetence and distortion of the facts is demonstrated by an up-to-the-moment comment regarding the media frenzy some time ago over Dick Cheney’s accidental shooting of a friend. In this instance, liberal politicians and media personalities asked questions that had already been discharged by the facts. Their questions were formulated strictly to impugn their hated enemy, not gain meaningful information. Almost every conceivable evil by Dick Cheney was proposed in these questions by one or more members of the media since the incident occurred. There is no need to recount them here. Several reporters actually suggested almost gleefully that his shooting victim might die. I can not imagine the mind that could make a more evil, ghoulish comment.
I have but one question to pose to these media ghouls. Why were there virtually no evil suggestions made as questions of Teddy Kennedy after the accident that took the life of Mary Jo Kopeckni at Chappaquiddick? Or after the supposed suicide of Vince Foster. The answer is quite obvious. Liberal elitists hold themselves and their fellow leftists to a vastly different and drastically lower standard of behavior than any opposing individuals. Real facts seem to be the enemy of the left in virtually every situation. Completely void of constructive programs or ideas and mouthing mantras of false information and imponderable suggestive questions, they are reduced to shouting virtual obscenities and gross distortions of facts. Only the most fanatical blind followers, vast conspiracy believers, political hangers on and self-disenfranchised dissidents could possibly support these outrageous statements, let alone actually believe them.
That they are actively aligning themselves with fundamentalist Muslim extremists to gain political traction is a fact that will eventually make them even more sorry caricatures of a human beings. The sad thing is that so many hate filled cultural, economic, racial and social minorities actually join and blindly support them because it is easier for them to destroy and bring others down to their pathetic level than to build and raise themselves up to any state of higher self esteem. It is no wonder that the left’s raw hatred appeals to all the unsuccessful poor, the dregs of humanity, criminals, mentally deficient–those with nothing to lose who have abandoned society and civility.
